Coronavirus is actually known as SARS-CoV-2 and it causes coronavirus disease. It affects large mammals and targets their respiratory system. There are 4 main levels of the virus and they are known as alpha, beta, delta, and gamma. An interesting fact is that all of these affect animals, but only alpha and beta can affect humans. You need to protect yourself from these two subtypes or variations of the coronavirus.
The virus started affecting the first people who came in contact with infected animals, probably on the market in China. Today, it is transferred via respiratory airways and can spread between people. The incubation period is 1-5 days but some scientists claim it is between 1 and 14 days. Further research is needed on this topic.
Symptoms are similar and almost identical to the ordinary flu virus. However, 20% of patients get more severe symptoms that include respiratory system failure and even worse.
