PrimeClean is basically an advanced Ozone Disinfection CPAP machine cleaner that works with all models and with all masks and all tubing. It is extremely easy to use as you shall see. To clean your components of the machine, follow these steps.
1. Disconnect the tubing and mask from the CPAP Machine
This is the first step and it applies to all machines regardless of their type and size. Make sure to read the user manual if you area newbies to avoid any damages to the tubing.
2. Make sure PrimeClean battery is fully charger
PrimeClean uses built-in battery that obviously must be recharged on a regular basis. Before starting the procedure, make sure it is 100%. We must include that after you are done with sanitation, recharge the battery again. The device has a Lithium-ion battery so it should be recharged always before it reached 0%. By doing this you will be positive that your new device will last as long as needed.
3. Place the CPAP mask into the PrimeClean bag
PrimeClean comes with a bag that is used to carry it when on the go. This bag is also designed to be used as a container during the actual cleaning process. Yes, you can use a zip bag if you want but there is no actual need to do that!
4. Connect other side of the tube to the Prime Clean
One side of the tubing alongside the mask goes into the bag. Other side goes into the PrimeClean device. Connection is fit and instant. Make sure to connect it while using proper layout. When you are done, you can move to the next step.
5. Activate PrimeClean
This is the simplest step of them all. You have to press the power button on the PrimeClean and you are done. The machine will do all the hard work instead of you and it will complete the task perfectly. This is Ozone Disinfection CPAP unit that kills 99.9% of all the bacteria and germs.
6. Wait for 30 minutes
The disinfection process takes 30 minutes to be completed. This is a mandatory period of time Prime Clean needs to make sure all the bacteria and germs are safely removed from the tubing and they are eliminated with a high success rate. During that time you are not required to control the process nor to adjust anything. Once done, PrimeClean will shut itself down and you have a clean mask and CPAP tubing.
7. Disconnect the tubing
Now is the time to disconnect the tubing, pull out the mask from the bag and insert it back into your CPAP machine. Now you can continue using the machine which is clean from all the bacteria, germs and mold you don’t want into your air.
8. See the result
Now you can look into the mask and the tubing and see that they are completely white or transparent. There are no dark spots or debris of any kind. This means that the process was successful and you are safe to use the CPAP machine once again. Keep in mind that in most cases, especially if your mask and tubing have been cleaned properly daily or weekly, you won’t be able to see the result with naked eye. Anyway, the explained purpose and the mentioned perks are still present.
9. Repeat the process daily or weekly
It is up to you how frequently you have to sanitize the tubing and CPAP mask. The best alternative is to do it daily, but if the time isn’t on your side, do it weekly. PrimeClean uses an activated oxygen system which makes it 100% safe for the masks and tubing.
In other words, it can be used daily and it won’t damage the components in any way. We also recommend sanitizing the new CPAP mask and tubing when you replace them. Usually there is no need to do that, but you can never be safe enough.
